A disturbing, but compelling read. As the father of young sons, I was freaked out. I had to put it down for 11 months before I could finish it. All told, I probably read it in three sittings, but they were really spaced out.
Just reading the review on Amazon would keep me from even breaking the spine. Too many other things to think about raising children to put my brain there....!!!! ~Ann

It does put a new shine on tasks like getting your groceries at the store and feeding the kids.
I now have Bob's copy- maybe Jen's- and I read when I go to bed so I can say that at my reading rate of 10 pages a night I have a winter ahead that will never look as bleak as any day described in this book!
